This course has been designed to support teachers in Y5/6 when planning English units of work with a focus on challenging all learners, including a particular focus on aiming high.

The course will include:
•an exploration of challenge strategies for speaking, listening, reading and writing via the teaching sequence;
•how to use scaffolding to deepen age-related skills; and
•an exemplified unit of work using a quality text with a focus on aiming high
