The Designated Safeguarding Lead plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing pupils, students and staff, a responsibility that, as outlined in the DfE’s statutory KCSIE guidance, extends to the online environment.

This well-established and popular CPD session offers DSLs a valuable opportunity to explore the online aspects of safeguarding and access recognised online safety expertise. Designed for those with lead responsibility, the training includes an overview of the online landscape, the latest trends and challenges, online safety management and review, artificial intelligence threats and opportunities, managing filtering and monitoring, incident handling and signposts to a variety of key tools and resources.

This session will equip DSLs with the knowledge, confidence and practical tools needed to lead on online safeguarding in line with current guidance and established best practice
