Participants will:

- Explore some of the factors leading to escalation/dysregulation and how these can be avoided;

- Explore best practice in de-escalating situations and responding in a trauma-informed way;

- Consider effective, relational ways to respond to young people in crisis; and

- Explore ways to effectively support the young person after the situation calms.
