Delegates will:
- explore what a restorative approach involves;
- understand why these approaches are so impactful in schools;
- practise skills and approaches as part of restorative practice; and
- explore how their school systems and processes can be adjusted/reviewed in light of this learning.
This course is shared across 2 half days to enable delegates to feedback and share their experiences of developing restorative practice. Central to a relational behaviour policy, well-planned and structured restorative approaches can make a significant impact on student engagement and behaviour.
With a good balance between theory and practice, this workshop-based approach will enable delegates to leave feeling confident to approach more structured and formal restorative interventions. All colleagues will leave with a resource pack to help them share and embed their learning.
Please note that it is important that the same staff member can attend both sessions.
