The Reception Baseline is the first statutory assessment that has to be completed for all children in entry to the EYFS. This course will provide guidance on the statutory baseline requirements. The course will then focus on how to develop an effective understanding of children's level of development in the first few weeks in EYFS and ways to use this knowledge to inform planning, leading to further observations and assessments. We will also consider effective provision for the first few weeks in EYFS and ways to enhance the learning environment.
