This course will include:
- current research regarding fluency in reading;
- an overview of fluency progression in reading across the primary phase;
- practical approaches for developing fluency; and
- training materials and a toolkit which can be utilised by leaders for CPD in school.

This course will explore the teaching, learning and assessment of fluency in primary schools. It is ideal for English subject leaders, senior leaders or phase leaders.
The course aims to equip delegates with approaches to implement across school, in order to ensure children become fluent readers via effective practice of shared/modelled, guided and one to one reading.

All approaches and strategies included within the training are informed by evidence-based approaches, nationally and locally.
