• Explore the contribution of early years' assessment, including the baseline and Foundation Stage Profile, to school improvement.
• Enable participants to evaluate the quality of foundation stage provision through school self-evaluation processes.
• Explore practical examples of quality and ambitious early years provision in action.

This training day provides an opportunity for headteachers and senior leaders to keep up to date with best practice in early years' provision, practice and pedagogy. A variety of different approaches and learning tools are used to assist senior leaders in developing the knowledge, understanding and skills required to lead and manage the EYFS in school.
