- Consider how to encourage EYFS children to 'work like a scientist' and begin to develop scientific skills and vocabulary.
- Explore how to provide rich learning opportunities which support progression, build essential vocabulary and prepare children for their learning in KS1.
- Explore opportunities to develop outdoor learning throughout the year to link with progression in the KS1 curriculum.

This practical course will provide a wealth of ideas and inspiration for rich learning opportunities linked to Understanding the World, The Natural World in EYFS (Reception). Consider how to develop skills, improve vocabulary and encourage curious minds. Progression from EYFS into KS1 will also be a feature of the day to ensure learning is built upon and repetition avoided when developing the EYFS curriculum in your setting.
