Great Teaching courses use evidence-based research to develop, and embed, 'great' teaching and learning.

The aims of the Great Teaching Networks are:
- to enable SLT/Teaching and Learning Leads to be informed about research and current issues around generic high-quality teaching and learning;
- to explore key messages and strategies for improving, and enhancing, day to day teaching and learning;
- to have the opportunity to network with other Teaching and Learning Leads, to discuss issues arising and to share good practice; and
- to have CPD in an aspect of Great Teaching which can then be delivered back in school.

Developing consistently high quality pedagogical practice across the school will impact positively on attainment across the curriculum. These network meetings will allow colleagues to reflect on current practice and identify areas for development.
The termly half day session will:
- provide opportunity to reflect on key aspects of high quality teaching;
- give updates from the Great Teaching team;
- support SLT/Teaching and Learning Leads in leading on how to consistently deliver high quality teaching; and
- provide a CPD session with a training package which can be delivered back in school.

The Autumn Term session will focus on 'Developing Oracy Across the Curriculum'.
