To consider how multiple choice questions can be used for different purposes and at different points in lessons to check understanding
To understand how to write effective multiple choice questions

This is a one hour twilight. Great Teaching Bitesize sessions will allow busy teachers to focus on one or two key elements to help them reflect on, and enhance, their practice.

Multiple choice questions can quickly provide a teacher with information about pupils' understanding and learning. For a pupil, a multiple choice question may feel less threatening and more engaging. However, multiple choice questions must be well-designed if they are to provide detailed feedback about the pupils' learning, and if they are to challenge pupils' thinking. This course will explain how to write effective multiple choice questions which can be used to deepen thinking and learning.
