• To consider the essential skills and knowledge from the primary mathematics curriculum and how these form the foundations for learning in Year 7.
• To explore the progression in key aspects of mathematics to support with identification of gaps.
• To discuss key principles around successful intervention in mathematics.
• To identify how to effectively support transition across these phases.

This course will support Year 7 teachers in identifying key skills from the KS2 curriculum and how these can be used to support children with gaps in their mathematical understanding.
