Supporting fieldwork and geographical skills in Primary Geography

This course will cover:
• Discussion on the sequence of learning for geographical skills, fieldwork and enquiry in Primary Geography.
• Practical examples and activities of how to teach geographical skills in KS1 and KS2.
• Practical examples and activities of fieldwork in different year groups in the primary schools, including EYFS.
• The importance of enquiry for the geography curriculum.

This course will look at how fieldwork and geographical skills can be incorporated into the Primary Geography curriculum. It will discuss the progression of skills and knowledge within these areas and the considerations needed to implement fieldwork activities practically. This course can be run as a school-based session.
