DSL's need only book on one session to gain their certification.
This course will cover:
• Recap of the Role and Responsibility of the Designated Safeguarding Lead
• Key updates from Legislation and Guidance in relation to Safeguarding.
• Exploration of Early Help and the Lancashire Continuum of Need
• Best practice when completing a Request for Support
• Multi agency working and information sharing.
• Examine a CSPR and learning points - child-centred safeguarding culture – listening to children’s wishes and feelings.
• The Ethos and Culture of Safeguarding in Education
Participants will have opportunity to discuss and explore some of the most prevalent issues experienced by children in schools in Lancashire and learn from Child Safeguarding Practice Reviews. Delegates will explore specific case studies and ways to engage with families at Early Help where engagement may have been previously difficult.
** As this is statutory training, delegates must attend the full session. For face to face courses, we kindly ask that delegates do not use their laptops throughout the session unless referring to any course materials**
