- To receive key messages regarding STA moderation training.
- To explore key features of each standard of writing at end of Key Stage 2.
- To work through the training materials produced for moderators to deepen understanding of the standards.

This brand new full day course is an opportunity to develop a deeper understanding of the training materials that are produced by STA to support local authority moderators in preparing for their role. The session will ensure that colleagues receive the same messages as moderators and will cover key aspects of working towards the expected standard (WTS), working at the expected standard (EXS) and greater depth standard (GDS) There will also be time to consider key messages regarding pre-key stage standards. Participants will receive the full suite of training materials from STA to use to develop writing back in school.
