Lancashire Book of the Year

Lancashire Book of the Year (LBOY) is the longest running young people's regional book award in the country. It was the first book award of its kind when it launched in 1987.

Schools get a collection of books chosen by publishers as the best books they have produced for the 12 to14 age group. Year 9 students then read and shortlist the books before choosing the overall winner.
