Whinney Hill Woodlands (Hyndburn)

Whinney Hill Woodlands are made up of two sites adjacent to each other covering around 14 hectares of young mixed woodland.  Developed on a former quarry and landfill site the area has a network of paths and trails.  The site is looked after on a day-to-day basis by the local environmental charity Prospects.  The sites are accessible from Livingstone & Whinney Hill Roads and several public footpaths that cross the area.  The sites are well used by local residents.
