Here in Digital Services our team of over 450 dedicated professionals serves over 1.2 million residents, providing a wide range of services either directly to our customers or by enabling our colleagues throughout Lancashire County Council to deliver their services in the most technologically effective means possible.

Our teams
Architecture develops and manages the implementation of architecture and technology ensuring it is aligned with Digital and business strategies. The Data team is responsible for Lancashire County Council's Data Strategy and embedding robust Data governance and management policies throughout the organisation.
Staff in Design and Implement work with Business Engagement and Operate colleagues to ensure solutions and services meet both customer and "business as usual" operational needs, ensuring that all solutions offer the best value for our customers.
DBE is the "front door" of the service and manages the digital change portfolio for the council, including priority setting for projects and programmes, aligning the demand from the Council for new and changed services with the Digital Strategy and with the current service offerings in the digital portfolio.
The “engine room” of Digital Services provides support to customers across all Council departments including schools through Education Digital Services.
Delivering the Strategic direction for Digital Services, whilst also ensuring effective compliance and governance, this service encompasses a wide breadth of teams including Security, Fulfilment, Transition, Analysis, Mail & Print Services and Information and Records Management.
Technologies
In Digital Services we work with many of the major leading edge technologies in the ICT sector. This includes such market leaders as Microsoft Azure/365, Windows 365 Desktop, Microsoft SharePoint, Aruba Network and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to name but a few.
