Loan units inspire a range of classroom activities to help you deliver desired learning outcomes with enjoyment and fun!
Why not use the loans service to further enhance a visit to one of our museums? Loan units related to our museums and surrounding topics are available and could be used for pre or post visit activities.
Subscription to the loans service is offered at these rates:
Lancashire County Council schools and schools buying-in to Heritage Learning Lancashire de-delegated budget:

Non-Lancashire County Council schools and Academies not buying in to Heritage Learning Lancashire de-delegated budget:
• 1 Loan £65.00

A loan on average consists of two boxes or folders containing original and replica objects.
Loans are with you for at least two weeks and include free delivery and collection from your school in Lancashire.
You can subscribe or order at any point in the school year (subject to availability) and we are happy to arrange individual loan units to support special events.
Visit us at our museum stores at Stanley Street in Preston to view loan objects and discuss how teaching in your school can be further enhanced.
Alternatively, we're happy to attend school staff meetings and inset days with samples of loan resources for staff to view.
