Blood pressure checks

Getting your blood pressure checked can let you know if you have high blood pressure (hypertension).

High blood pressure can increase the risk of a heart attack, stroke or other cardiovascular disease, including chronic kidney disease, peripheral arterial disease, and vascular dementia.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is a leading cause of premature death in England. In Lancashire alone, over 136,000 people are affected by this disease and getting your blood pressure checked regularly along with simple lifestyle changes can help reduce high blood pressure.
