Special leave
We want to show support to our employees who foster. Having an understanding employer can make all the difference to people balancing work with caring for children. Since 1 January 2021 all Lancashire County Council employees having a fostering assessment with us can apply for an extra 5* days special leave. This can be during the assessment or post approval for training or meetings related to fostering.
*The 5 days extra leave for LCC school staff, is at the discretion of their Governing body.
