Record of self-evaluation and preparation for Ofsted
Who is this course for?
Managers and leaders of nursery settings. It is particularly useful for settings expecting their inspection within the next 12 months and those who want to embed a robust evaluation process.
This training is recommended for those undertaking the Lancashire Quality Award – Leading a successful team
Course content
This training will consider key themes in the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework and how inspections will be carried out. It will look at the four Ofsted judgement areas and provide an opportunity to explore how you can conduct and record effective self-evaluation for your early years practice and provision.
The Record of Self-Evaluation publication is included (usually £10).
You will be taken step by step through each inspection judgement area spending time understanding and evaluating all aspects of your setting and creating your own personal improvement plan.
The course will focus on:
- how inspections are carried out
- how to be 'inspection ready' to make the most of the opportunity
- key themes in the Ofsted Education Inspection Framework
- the four Ofsted judgement areas in detail
