Who is this course for?

Early Years practitioners working with 3 to 5 year olds in the PVI sector.

This is particularly beneficial to new settings and those new to the EYFS or this age group, or those wishing to reflect on the effectiveness of their indoor enabling environment.

This session is essential for those settings undertaking the 'Step into Quality in the Early Years' Award and the Lancashire Quality Award – Opportunities and Experiences: The Indoor Learning Environment.

Course content

This focuses on how to provide an exciting, interesting, relevant and challenging indoor learning environment through well-resourced areas of continuous provision. It looks at the brain research on how children learn, reflects on effective practice and supports the planning and resourcing of core and enhancement resources.
