Who is this course for?

This workshop is for practitioners working with children aged 3 -5 years of age.

This session is essential for those settings undertaking the Lancashire Quality Award – Mathematics in the Early Years.

Course content

This session explores the benefits of teaching maths through stories and offer practical ideas to use storytelling as a springboard for meaningful mathematical learning. You will be introduced to a range of exciting mathematical stories and picture books to support the introduction and consolidation of mathematical concepts, fostering positive attitudes and dispositions towards maths and reasoning skills.
