Who is this course for?
Practitioners working with children from three years old who are looking to improve the quality of teaching and learning in their setting.
This session is recommended for those undertaking the Lancashire Quality Award - The Next Step: Embedding Effective Early Years Pedagogy for the 21st Century and essential for the Lancashire Quality Award – The Role of the Adult.
Course content
This webinar will use a range of research and practical expertise to explore the expectations of the adult role in supporting and challenging learning. It looks at the balance and expectations of the different roles of the adult linked to focused teaching and child led learning.
The session reviews different teaching strategies that can be used to ensure that children are engaged and taking an active role in their learning. It investigates techniques to help children to make connections between their learning experiences and use their knowledge and skills in their independent learning.
