Course content
The revised EYFS puts emphasis on the curriculum meeting the individual needs of your children and on practitioners facilitating children's learning and tuning into their thoughts and ideas both indoors and outdoors. Utilising and enhancing your outdoor environment is the perfect way to make this happen.
This outdoor practical workshop will support practitioners with exciting ways to teach the EYFS curriculum in the outdoor learning environment. We will reflect on the role of the adult and the pedagogical approaches employed when supporting learning outdoors.
This session will be held outdoors. Please ensure you have appropriate outdoor clothing including a long-sleeved top, waterproof clothing, suitable footwear for the weather and a change of footwear for indoors. All participants will receive a course booklet to take away and some additional tools to support the development of outdoor learning including engaging parents.
All participants will receive a course booklet, a copy of 'Delivering the curriculum outdoors' and some additional tools to support the development of outdoor learning, including engaging parents.
