Who is this course for?

This training is to help practitioners working with children from age two to the end of key stage one to mitigate against challenging behaviours displayed by children.

Course content

On this training you will receive your BEHAVE Toolkit which includes your Roadmap, Audit Tool, 'Behaviours that challenge' resource booklet and full training materials.

As you progress through the audit and training you will learn about how the Brain is affected when the child is distressed and exhibiting challenging behaviours. How the full range of Emotions are ok, but how we can help children to regulate these. The importance of Home / setting communications and the importance of continuity of approaches between the home and the setting. Why Assessment is vital in understanding how and why the child is behaving in a tricky way. How we can support the child to feel safer and calmer through the Environments we provide.
