Step into Quality in the Early Years
This quality improvement programme has been extremely successful in raising standards in the early years in Lancashire schools.
‘Step into Quality’ involves whole team reflection on provision and practice. It has been proven that through this systematic approach of self evaluation, the principles of the EYFS have become embedded in practice, improving outcomes for children.
The programme considers conditions for learning through a number of ‘steps’. These include:
- Indoor and outdoor learning environments
- Routines
- Interactions
- The keyperson approach
- Partnership with parents
- Leadership and management
- Learning and development
- Transitions
Cost:
£3000, payable over two financial years.
Limited period offer - £1500 for small schools with 4 classes or less, payable over two financial years.
The programme runs for 12 months.
The programme includes:
- an introductory session for all EYFS teachers and the Headteacher
- 4 full days of professional development training for all EYFS teachers and TAs and the Headteacher, including a sharing good practice session
- up to six mentor visits on site by an Early Years Consultant
