Travel assistance grant values 2024/5

Band	Value
Band 1 – Up to 5 miles	£2294.60 per school year
Band 2 – Over 5 miles up to 10 miles	£3441.90 per school year
Band 3 – Over 10 up to 15 miles	£4589.20 per school year
Band 4 – Over 15 up to 20	£5736.50 per school year
Band 5 – Over 20 up to 25	£6883.80 per school year
Band 6 – Over 25 miles	£0.52 per mile to and from the school and based on a standard return trip.

All the above are based on 190 days travelling and would be pro rata for fewer journeys, for example part time, weekly or termly residential students.

Grants are paid over 11 months (September to July, no payment in August).
