Expansion of Lea Community Primary School

Following a consultation, members of Lancashire County Council's cabinet agreed on 2 February 2023 the proposed expansion of Lea Community Primary School to provide an additional 210 places, by admitting 30 additional pupils to each Reception year with effect from September 2024. This would follow the school exceeding its Published Admission Number by 30 places in 2023/24 via a temporary expansion within existing accommodation.

All the views of people who took part in the consultation were carefully considered before making this decision.

The council is responsible for making sure there are enough high-quality school places available to meet demand across the county, and the expansion of Lea Community Primary School will help us to do this.
