Youth Work Week 2023
Youth Work Week is an annual week-long celebration organised by the National Youth Agency celebrating everything Youth Work.
Youth work helps young people to learn about themselves, others and the society they live in. Youth work is based on the belief that young people should be empowered to explore their identity, experience decision-making, increase their confidence, develop inter-personal skills and think though the consequences of their actions leading to better informed choices.
This year's Youth Work Week will run from Monday 6 November to Sunday 12 November, and the theme is Youth Work in every place and space.
In Lancashire, we are supporting the campaign by celebrating our fantastic youth workers and the wonderful young people who work alongside them across our county.
Look out for us on the Lancashire County Council Twitter and Facebook pages, where we will be sharing information about how we celebrate youth work.
You can also find out more by following our 12 Youth Zone Facebook pages, simply type in the name of your district followed by 'Youth Zone'.
Please do join in by using the hashtags #YouthWorkWeek and #YWW23.
