Break Time activity sessions April 2024 to March 2025

The club is a not-for-profit organisation designed to cater for children and families within the local community. A key strength of the club is that all attendees can swim most days; a lifeguard is provided to ensure all children's safety whilst swimming and our facilities have appropriate lifting equipment. We employ experienced trained staff who are used to manual handling and care needs of all children - it is key that our staff know the care needs/plans, handling requirements and behaviour support for each child. We provide a wide range of other activities including some brought in from outside sources that are fully inclusive for all children attending.

Blackpool FC Community Trust run a very successful inclusion camp during school holidays for children from 7 to 18. The camp is delivered by highly qualified and experienced staff in working with disabilities. There are many activities to choose from at our inclusion camp including multi skill activities, recreational area, games room (wii sport, xbox 360 & table football), additional sports such as football and dodge ball and much more.

A free minibus service is available to STARS holiday camps, from Lytham St Annes and Thornton Cleveleys. Please contact us for more details.

We offer a youth club for all children with additional needs and disabilities. Activities on offer include arts and crafts, Lego, sensory play, cooking, gaming and sports and games. Our dedicated team of staff and volunteers will provide individual support to meet each child or young person's individual support needs. We also have a club every school holiday period and activities include a combination of in-house days and trip days. Recent trips include The Space Centre, Blackpool Zoo, Farmer Parr's Animal world and walks to the local parks. In house activities include themed arts and crafts, sport sessions with Lancashire Boys and Girl's Club, bouncy castle hire, sand arts and party days. Sessional support workers are employed to provide 2:1 support to those who attend.

During school holiday periods we will deliver a combination of activities. Sessions are delivered by qualified and experienced staff members who are passionate about delivering positive outcomes for SEN children, their parents and carers. We welcome all children and we will do our upmost to provide additional support. Holiday trips involve going out to various places for example the Cinema, Bowling, Crazy Golf, the Zoo and Safari Park. Going out in the community gives all children the opportunity to experience different venues that they may not have the opportunity to attend other times, also to socially interact with their peers. Saturday trips are similar to the holiday sessions; all meals, transport and entry to venues are included.

We cannot provide a door to door pickup but we do offer two pickup and drop off points from Broadfield School Burnley and McDonald’s Hyndburn road Accrington.

FUNDA Holiday Camps provide differentiated Physical Activities, Sports, Fun Games, Challenges, Play, and BIG Giant Inflatables inclusive for children with SEN/disabilities.

FUNDA’s inclusive approach is designed to engage, inspire, motivate and EMPOWER children aged 4-11 years whilst boosting health, wellbeing and fitness.

FUNDA is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every child can thrive and succeed. Helping children requiring support to access mainstream activities and aiding their transition into mainstream activities.

UV Lazer Tag, Dodgeball, Basketball, Handball, Boccia, Archery, Tennis, Football, Ultimate Frisbee, Rock-it-Ball, Cricket, Circuits/Boot Camps. Cheerleading, Dance, Drama, Music, Active Storytelling and Yoga. Sensory Time, Lego, Play-Doh, Colouring and Arts & Crafts. Obstacle Relays, Parachute Games, Soft Play, Inflatable Slides, Obstacle Courses, Pillow Wars, Bouncy Castles. Outdoor activities, Team building, Leadership and volunteering. Mental health focused activities including mindfulness/yoga/meditation and so much more!

During term time we offer 1 evening trip and a full 10-4pm weekend day per half term. During the school holidays we offer 1 day per week 10am - 4pm. Activities will be planned based on children and young people's interests and in co-production to focus on developing social and life skills and may include activities such as sensory play, arts and crafts, gaming, music and movement, outdoor play. Where appropriate trips can be organised to local community activities such as parks, cinema, bowling, trampolining, farms, museums.

We offer fun and inclusive daytime holiday clubs which promise to be fun and inclusive for all ages and abilities, particularly wheelchair users and those with mobility impairments.  Our friendly and experienced team will help children and young people to access the activities and ensure they are differentiated to meet individual needs.  We have plenty of arts and crafts, sports equipment and toys as well as a sensory room, an indoor soft play room and extensive outdoor areas for children and young people to enjoy.

Fun Clubs are open to any child awarded Lancashire Break Time hours and their brothers and sisters too!

Unfortunately, because of extensive work being carried out on site we are unable to offer Fun Club until summer 2024.  Please email info@rainbowhub.org to subscribe to our mailing list so we can let you know when Fun Clubs are back on.

Sessions of sports, games, and fun activities for young people. Inclusive for children and young people with SEN/disabilities. We provide a wide range of sporting activities to promote health and wellbeing.

Young people will choose the activities they want to do:
Nerf Wars, Basketball, Benchball, Handball, Boccia, Archery, Tennis, Football, New Age Kurling, Ultimate Frisbee, Rock–it–Ball, Boxercise, Cricket, Circuits and boot camps.
Cheerleading, Dance, Drama, Music, Storytelling and Yoga.
Lego, Play-Doh, Colouring and Arts & Crafts.
Obstacle Relays, Parachute Games, Soft Play.
Outdoor activities, Team building, Leadership and volunteering.

Lancashire Outdoor Education offer a range of outdoor activities based from our three outdoor centres. Our staff are experienced in meeting participant needs whilst providing a fun, safe and friendly experience.
