Summary of policy

This is a voluntary aided school – please contact the school for full admission details. To apply for a place at this school, please apply online and use the supplementary information form available from the school.

  1. (a) Children in public care and previously looked after children. This criteria also includes looked after children and all previously looked after children who appear (to the admission authority) to have been in state care outside of England and ceased to be in state care as a result of being adopted.

    (b) Children with special medical or social circumstances affecting the child where these needs can only be met at this school.

  2. Children who have a sibling attending the school on the date of application and the date of admission.

  3. Children whose parents live within the ecclesiastical parish of Morecambe Parish Church. A map showing the boundaries is available in school.

    (a) Children with a parent/guardian worshipping in a church in full membership of Churches Together in England or Evangelical Alliance.

    (b) Other children.

  4. Children whose parents live outside the ecclesiastical parish of Morecambe Parish Church with a parent/guardian worshipping in a church in full membership of Churches Together in England or Evangelical Alliance.

  5. The children of staff employed at the school.

(a) where the member of staff has been employed at the school for two or more years at the time at which the application for admission to the school is made.

(b) Staff who were recruited due to a skills shortage.

     6. Other children.

Where there are more applicants for the available places within a category, then the distance between the Ordnance Survey address points for the school and the home measured in a straight line will be used as the final determining factor, nearer addresses having priority over more distant ones. This address point is within the body of the property and usually located at its centre. Where two addresses have the same distance, or the cut-off point is for addresses within the same building, then the Local Authority's system of a random draw will determine which address(es) receive the offer(s).
