Key messages 4 April

• Following an assessment of our Resources Directorate and leadership responsibilities, Property, Facilities Management and School Based Planning teams have been repositioned with effect from 1 April 2025.
• Property and Facilities Management teams have transitioned over to the Growth, Environment, Transport and Health Directorate, while the School Based Planning team have moved to Education and Children's Services Directorate.
• This realignment is intended to create a more natural fit within the departments, enhancing service delivery by combining property management with estates, and school planning with education.

Changes to the management of corporate laptops and mobile phones

• In line with our new Device Policy (available on the intranet), changes have been made to how we order and manage corporate mobile phones and laptops.
• New starters will be allocated a corporate computer login automatically as part of the onboarding process. This will be emailed to line managers along with guidance on how to provision IT equipment and access to the network.
• We are reducing the number of corporate mobile phones and will only be ordering these when there is a specific business requirement.
• Don’t forget that you can use your personal mobile phone securely via Microsoft Intune, to access our corporate Microsoft 365 services such as Outlook, Teams and Intranet.

Staff check-in results

• Over 1500 of you completed our first staff check-in survey at the beginning of the year-thank you for taking part.
• You can view the results on the staff survey website, alongside a summary of actions.
• We'll be running another short survey towards the end of April.
• Keep an eye on staff news for further updates.
