Pay Award

  • A nationally negotiated pay increase has been agreed for staff who are subject to the National Joint Council (NJC) Pay Agreement.
  • If you are below spinal column point 43 (£50,512 annually) you will receive an extra £1,290.
  • If you are on spinal point 44 (£52,573 annually) and above you will receive an increase of 2.5%.
  • All allowances such as standby or split shift payments will also be increased by 2.5%.
  • The increase will be backdated from 1 April 2024.

Proud campaign

  • For Lancashire Day (27 November) a celebratory video featuring staff will be produced.
  • Staff will be asked to send in short videos of themselves in their workplace, sharing why they are proud to work for us.

Statutory and extra-statutory holidays 2024-25

  • The remaining statutory and extra statutory days for the year are as follows: Statutory days: Christmas Day (25 December), Boxing Day (26 December) and New Year's Day (1 January). Extra Statutory Days Christmas Eve (24 December) and 27 December.
  • You can find the list on the HR, Pay and Employment section of the intranet along with guidance on entitlements for staff who are part time, or staff will be working on those days.
  • If you are required to work on those dates, additional guidance is below:
      - If you are not entitled to the extra statutory holidays these will be classed as normal working days.
      - Time off with pay at a later date is time off in lieu for the purposes set out below.
      - Tuesday 24 and Friday 27 December (extra statutory days) You will receive bank holiday pay, plus time off with pay at a later date.
      - Wednesday 24 and Thursday 25 December (bank holidays) You will receive bank holiday pay, plus time off with pay at a later date.
      - Wednesday 1 January (bank holiday) You will receive bank holiday pay, plus time off with pay at a later date.
      - All other days over the Christmas and New Year period will be treated as normal.
