The Exchange and Committee Floor will be used that day, which means that County Hall will be very busy. The car park will be used for delegates attending the event.
If you would usually work from County Hall, please work from home or use one of our other buildings on 27 February where possible.
If you need to use the building, please use Bow Lane Reception entrance only, as Pitt Street Reception will be in use for attendee security checks.
The county council elections will take place on Thursday 1 May.
From 4 pm on Friday 21 March 2025 until 10 pm on Thursday 1 May 2025, we will be in the pre-election period.
During the pre-election period, there are restrictions on council publicity and events. The council must not do anything that could be perceived as showing support for any candidate or political party, and we must ensure that the political impartiality of the council and its employees is maintained.
Please refer to the pre-election period guidance for staff (on the Intranet) to see how your service delivery may be affected during this period and to find out who to contact for further advice.
This guidance applies to all officers of the council and all councillors, including those who will not be standing in the election.
Leadership Behaviours Assessment
In 2024, we introduced the Leading Lancashire Framework (on the Intranet) to guide our leaders and managers in providing strong leadership and clear direction.
This framework reinforces our commitment to creating an environment where our vision is realised, our values are upheld, employees thrive, and we deliver results for Lancashire residents.
To further support this, we will launch a new 360 Leadership Behaviours Assessment next month.
This tool includes a questionnaire that offers insights into leadership behaviours, evaluates our managers against the Leading Lancashire Framework, and supports our commitment to continuous improvement and leadership effectiveness.
