The Employee Support Team offer, impartial and solution-focused support to employees who have workplace-related issues and concerns that are impacting on their health and job performance.
How we can help you

The type of concerns we can help with include, but are not limited to:
Work related issues:
- changes at work
- work demands
- work relationships
- bullying
- personal and interpersonal skills
- and stress at work including sickness related and mental health issues
If you have a personal matter you need support for, our Employee Assistance Programme provides a helpline that offers you counselling and advice on a variety of personal, family or financial issues.
Managers/leaders
We offer support for managers to maintain and improve wellbeing, relationships and performance within teams whilst fostering a compassionate leadership culture that enables staff to feel valued, respected and supported to thrive at work.
- We provide a bespoke service and will work with you to improve workplace wellbeing in a holistic way using a range of tools, our *person centred approach, presentations and engagement sessions. *A person centred team focuses on people and relationships to deliver a culture of quality performance, trust, engagement and accountability.
As a manager, improving recruitment and retention, reducing sickness and increasing performance and productivity are measurable outcomes, get in touch and see how we can support you to:-
- Invest in your staff to build a culture that encourages open communication and improves workplace wellbeing.
- Build effective team relationships and manage/resolve conflict.
- Support to undertake a Stress Risk Assessment.

Mediation and conflict resolution
The Employee Support team are all accredited mediators. We can carry out a range of interventions to support managers to resolve conflict in the workplace, including:-
- Practical help and suggestions to minimise conflict and improve relationships between colleagues at all levels
- Solution focused interventions
- Facilitated discussions
- Mediation
Are we the right team for you
- Our team does not replace existing resources of help, support and guidance such as HR, Learning and Development, Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Trade Unions.
- Managers should still be the first point of contact for maintaining the health and wellbeing of their staff. All employees have a responsibility to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and of others who may be affected by their actions.
- As we are impartial, we do not actively take part in interviewing, carrying out investigations, capabilities and HR roles and responsibilities.
