Staff year book 2023

2024 Yearbook

In our busy work lives, we spend a lot of time looking towards the coming weeks and months ahead, without much time to reflect on what we have worked on. As we start preparing for the new year, it's great to look back and reflect on the amazing work and progress achieved in the past year, for both yourself and the residents of Lancashire. Our 2024 Yearbook gives you the opportunity to do just that.

Whether this is recognising your own personal development and success, celebrating the work of your colleagues, or even just saying thank you to someone, our Yearbook is for you to comment on what has made you feel proud this year.

The Yearbook is accessible to everyone who works at Lancashire County Council. To submit a comment of recognition, please enter your details below.

This is a nod to the DOLS Team (East), this year, a colleagues became unwell at work, knocking the stuffing out of us. However, we rallied and have been an amazing support to each other, our camaraderie has shone. We have had 30th 50th 60th, weddings, pregnancies, and a host of other things and we do celebrate them well 😊. Our fabulous SCSO succeeded to access the OT (apprentice), she looks amazing in her OT uniform. Our BSO have been steadfast, and we do appreciate them millions. We reduced our backlogs, with only cases for 2024 (in the East), FABULOUS work all of you. We provide MCA, DOLS and shadowing support a plethora of people. The year has not been without its trials, and we have had fun. I feel blessed to be the manager of this Team - THANK YOU EAST TEAM for all your hard work, you have made 2024 truly amazing. I am excited for 2025, but cannot let the 2024 Yearbook pass without message, Marie😊

I joined AOC in September 2024 and manage a team of 11 amazing IT engineers supporting Fusion and several other systems. Firstly, a shout out to Alex Turkington, Clare Beardsworth and Chris Blackburn for their phenomenal encouragement and support since I joined the team. Furthermore, shout out to my fabulous team as quite frankly, you are so good it is just like managing Real Madrid! Thank you for your support, hard work and dedication since I have joined the team as you are the reason for its success! Finally, shout out to the AOC Thursday Lunch Club which has expanded weekly! I personally look forward to our lunch outings massively and think we all agree that they are great fun and have brought people together across the wider team, even though we only seem to talk about work over lunch LOL! Everyone is always invited so join in the fun and I look forward to meeting the challenges ahead in 2025 with you all, as I could not have a better team or support network in place to succeed!

I want to give a huge shout out to the amazing Public Health, Wellbeing and Communities, Quality and Practice Improvement team. Over the last 12 months, we've seen our work evolve significantly and welcomed incredible talent into what is now a dynamic and cohesive team. The expertise and dedication of our business support team combined with the ongoing passion and innovation of Alison, Charlie and Lynn, has made a difference to our workforce and the impact their work has on our residents. Thank you also to Ian for your invaluable support to the team over the last twelve months. You all make work an absolute pleasure 😊. In 2025 we are thrilled to welcome the Communities team, Lancashire Volunteer Partnership and Strategic Operations and Resources team into our fold. We know their contributions will complement significantly and strengthen the work we do. Here's to another wonderful year!

To all my colleagues across Support Service (Adult Services), Thank you for being such a welcoming, inclusive, and compassionate team of people. From the first day I returned, every single one of you across the county has shown me kindness and support along the way while working incredibly hard. I am grateful to each and every one of you. Here's to another year of doing our best for Lancashire!

I am so pleased at the age of 57 i was able to complete my Chartered Management Degree with LCC on an apprenticeship scheme . I have worked for LCC for over 30 years and I appreciate the opportunity I have been given to pull all my knowledge skills and abilities together in a formal qualification

2025 will be the year I stop working for Lancashire County Council. I started in 1987 and a lot has changed since those days.
