4. Scope and arrangement of the collection
The main local studies collection for the Fylde area is held at the St. Annes Library, but Lytham library holds a small collection of local studies material, chiefly books, relating to Lancashire in general and to the Fylde in particular. The collection, both reference and lending, is classified according to the Lancashire County Library’s Local Studies Classification scheme.

No microfilmed census enumerators' returns are held at Lytham library, but the returns for the area are available for consultation at St. Annes library.
