Interchanges
In 2004 a modern bus station facility was opened as a key flagship site for Chorley town Centre. The bus station, which has good pedestrian crossing to the refurbished railway station, uses electronic screens to display local rail times, whist in the train stations bus depatures are displayed.
Carnforth Connect is the name given to the integrated transport project covering Carnforth and the rural areas of North Lancashire and South Cumbria. It offers local transport, with timed services to connect with trains at Carnforth Rail Station, and a staffed interchange office.
The award winning Clitheroe Interchange continues to go from strength to strength. Established to improve passenger confidence in using public transport in a rural area Clitheroe Interchange has won a series of national awards.
