Step 6 - How do you pay for it?
Reading fox

Whilst you may be able to find some of the necessary funds from school, in order to implement the proposals you will inevitabley need to raise the rest. By the time you reach this step you may even have organised some fundraising events to start the process off. Such events are important as they can reaffirm commitment to the project and unite the school community behind a common goal; unfortunately they are unlikely to raise all of the money that will be needed. It is therefore necessary to begin seeking advice on and identifying other possible sources of funding, a process which should be co-ordinated by the 'School Grounds Development Group'.

Bear in mind that at this point in the process you will have both a clear 'vision statement' for your school grounds, that can be backed up by survey information, detailed plans and cost estimates for your proposals. These will highlight the many educational and community benefits that will arise from your proposals and prove valuable tools in enabling you to make a clear and considered case when seeking funding.

Remember not everything has to be done at once. Having the proposed developments divided into several phases and working to complete each phase in turn, can make what might appear an overwhelming task eminently achievable.
