The Waste & Minerals Policy Group is responsible for:
- The preparation, monitoring and review of the Minerals and Waste Development Framework.
- Monitoring and Reviewing the Municipal Waste Management Strategy.
- Reviewing the Joint Minerals and Waste Local Plan.
- Contribution to Policy Development on Waste and Minerals matters in the Joint Structure Plan.
- Monitoring and Comment on Waste and Minerals Proposals in Plans and Strategies of Neighbouring Authorities.
- Commenting on Waste and Minerals aspects of Regional Planning Guidance.
- The provision of Advice on Government Guidance Notes and other relevant National Publications.
- Delivering the Woodlands from Waste Project
