Climate Control

Climate Control is an education outreach project funded by Lancashire County Council and run by the education department of Lancashire Wildlife Trust. The project aims to educate 7-14 yr olds on the causes and solutions concerning climate change. A secondary aim is to help children take the message home to their families, and to signpost parents to other aspects of the Community Climate Change Programme

Using interactive games, drama and classroom based activities the students will be given information on the issue and will also be expected to do some investigation themselves. The programme is firmly linked into the National Curriculum, and supports the Eco-schools and Sustainable Schools programmes. A key part of the project is making links with practical actions that can be taken at home and in school.

For further information about the project contact the education officers at climatecontrol@lancswt.org.uk.
