You may remember that we contacted you earlier this year to ask your views on what would encourage you to make more journeys on foot or by bike. We listened to what you had to say and have drawn up a proposed scheme for the area that we feel addresses the problems you raised as a community.

Issues you would like us to address

Your previous responses show that the issues you would like us to consider include:

• Reducing traffic flows and speeds
• Improving walking and cycling routes
• Improving crossing places
• Improvements to street lighting
• Improved signing
• More seating and meeting places
• Improved landscaping

Where are we now?

In response to your comments we have drawn up some draft proposals that we feel will help create a high quality environment which will help you and your community to walk and cycle in a safe and pleasant environment. We would like to give you the opportunity to have a look at the proposals and give us your views.
