Traffic Regulation Order

THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(C400 RAWCLIFFE ROAD, ST MICHAEL’S ON WYRE, WYRE DISTRICT)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2007

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of Rawcliffe Road, St Michael’s on Wyre, a distance of approximately 100 metres from Singleton Cottage to Cedar Cottage, in the District of Wyre.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -

Rawcliffe Road – Lancaster Road – Skitham Lane – Longmoor Lane – A6 Preston Lancaster New Road – Ainspool Lane – Garstang Road – Rawcliffe Road and vice versa.  

Access to properties will be available at all times.

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow sewer replacement works to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative from 0800 hours on Wednesday 24th January 2007 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 4th April 2007 or until completion of the works within this time period.
