THE LANCASHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(A646 BURNLEY ROAD, CLIVIGER, BURNLEY BOROUGH)
(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2010

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding over that length of A646 Burnley Road, Cliviger, 100 metres from its junction with Dyneley Lane in a north easterly direction, in the Borough of Burnley.

An alternative route for vehicular traffic and cyclists affected by the closure is via: -

Red Lees Road – Brunshaw Road – Harry Potts Way – Todmorden Road, and vice versa

Access to properties will be maintained

The Police, Fire and Ambulance Services have been informed.

The temporary prohibition is necessary to allow for the re-construction of the railway bridge to be carried out.

The prohibition will be operative on the following days;

  1. From 2000 hours on Saturday 6th March 2010 until 0600 hours on Monday 8th March 2010;
  2. From 2000 hours on Saturday 13th March 2010 until 0600 hours on Monday 15th March 2010;

or until completion of the works within this period.
