Pre-Retirement Planning

Lancashire supports those teachers approaching retirement. This support includes a one day course.

The course currently costs £50 to attend. It is held throughout the county, subject to demand. Around four courses are available in the summer term and a further opportunity is provided in the autumn term. The focus of the course is on financial planning and includes sessions on state benefits, pensions and superannuation for teachers. Guidance also includes a consideration of how teachers can continue to make a contribution to the profession through teaching on a part‑time and supply basis.
