This section outlines the main facilities the LRO can offer: how we deal with enquiries, how to order copies of documents, arranging a group visit, and information for depositors, volunteers and the media.

For those unable to visit the Office in person - and for those who want to plan in advance of their visit - we can supply information about the records we hold.
We may be able to copy documents for you, although limitations may apply.

The Friends of Lancashire Archives was formed in June, 1986, with the aim of promoting, supporting, assisting and improving the Lancashire Record Office in its crucial work of protecting and conserving the archival heritage of the county, and making it available to the public. .
