Archives

Looking after historic documents relating to the county from about 1115 to the present day.

Enquiries and research

For those unable to visit the Office in person - and for those who want to plan in advance of their visit - we can supply information about the records we hold.

Copying

We may be able to copy documents for you, although limitations may apply.

Volunteers and user groups

The Friends of Lancashire Archives was formed in June, 1986, with the aim of promoting, supporting, assisting and improving the Lancashire Record Office in its crucial work of protecting and conserving the archival heritage of the county, and making it available to the public. .
