Description
The steam trawler 'Ella Hewett' LO47 built at Beverley in 1953 for Hewetts Fishing Co. Ltd.. The 'Ella Hewett' was one of Fleetwood's top earning trawlers until it was lost, stranded on the submerged wreck of HMS Drake in Church Bay, Rathlin Island in November 1962. The wreck was later blown up in 1978 to prevent pollution.
