Freezer Trawlers

In the 1960's Freezer Trawlers were beginning to appear. Instead of storing the fish in ice the catch was processed on-board and then frozen into blocks for storage. By the time freezer trawlers were operating Fleetwood's fishing industry was in decline. Only one such vessel, the 'Criscilla' sailed with the Fleetwood fleet.
