Echo Sounders

Echo sounders to assist in locating fish were introduced in the 1930's. These were added to an increasing array of equipment used in the unceasing search for large catches of fish. The echo sounders used sound waves to reflect off large masses under the sea. a large shoal of fish could be easily located.
